So, I’d heard about this game about a year ago, followed it for awhile, lost track of it, and then stumbled upon it again the day it was to be released! I was able to grab it and the OST(which is awesome btw and free at the time of purchase) for 15% off!

From the Steam page:

Aurion: Legacy of the Kori-Odan is a 2D African Fantasy Action-RPG which seeks to innovate in this genre. The dynamic gameplay partly inspired by the old school “Tales of” series, focuses on 2D real-time combat sequences while the narration and its environment both draw deeply from African culture.

I’m loving the art style as well as the combat. @Aurionthegame and @KIROOGames have really created something I feel is unique and fun!

I love the background details. I spend a lot of time just walking around and talking to various NPCs and such.

The explanations for the armor/outfits made me happy(I get happy about tiny details guys okay?  ROTFL )!

So far I have 11 hours in(the game is SO engrossing!) and actually reviewed the game(the last time I reviewed a Steam game I think I just did it for the badge??)! There are some kinks(speech/language translation, crashes and the like) but the devs are on top of things quickly and appreciate player feedback! Definitely grab a Xbox controller to play(as is suggested at the beginning of the game!). I can’t imagine playing with mouse and keyboard. According to the devs if Aurion: LoK sales well enough it’s supposed to be the first in a trilogy! Hopefully the ending of this one satisfies me just in case that doesn’t happen
