Winchester Legacy 2.3
RECAP: Neil opens a lemonade stand, Val turns out to have a little mean streak, Dane revealed his LTW of becoming a Criminal Mastermind, the kids get rejected for private school causing Toni’s aspiration failure, Gai grows into a toddler and Neil grew into a teen and promptly started to worry about…something!
The kids weren’t the only ones who liked to relax at the piano. I could always tell when Dane had a rough day at work or had something on his mind. He would be at the piano for hours. He was actually really good. I think it was because of his surgeon hands. He’s really good with his hands! What? We have two kids together I’m not going to pretend like I don’t enjoy having that man in my bed. He’s trying to work for a third but I seriously think that I’m done with the kids. There would be to large a gap between them and besides…I want us to enjoy our golden years together without having to worry about changing diapers and what not. I think he’s a little disappointed but since I’m the one popping out these kids I’m the one that gets the final say.
And because of his job he had to work on his body. Sometimes he got carried away.
“Toni!” he yelled from the living room.
Walking out of the bedroom where I was folding clothes I came to an abrupt stop as I saw him. “Dane, what in the world is wrong with your face?”
“It’s not just my face babe! I hurt all over. I was out on the obstacle course and I lost track of time.” He hobbled over to the couch and gingerly sat down.
Frowning, I walked into the kitchen and wetting a rag walked back over to him and began to gently dab at his face. “What were you thinking?” I demanded. “You used to be a doctor. You know what the sun can do to you! Why in the world-”
“Oh God Toni! Save the lecture until I can at least focus on it. Right now I’m trying to ignore the burning,” he said in a miserable voice.
“Fine, but you have to admit it was a stupid thing to do.”
“Yes babe, it was stupid. Can I have something to drink now?”
Rolling my eyes I got up to get him something to drink.
Check that out. I am now the new Cos! Awesome right? I’ve worked hard and long to get here, becoming friends with people I didn’t really like, working out when I felt like stuffing my face but it’s finally paid off. I am the man!!!! Or the woman!! Whatever! I’m the boss!!
I know I look kind of confused right there but I was still trying to digest the news. And look at Val racing to give me a hug. I tell you sometimes that girl can just be so sweet.
“Mom! Mom!!! You’re home! Guess what I caught Neil doing?”
Or not! I shook my head as I gave her a hug. “Val, you can’t go around telling on people all the time.”
“Why not?”
“Don’t you want friends?”
She shrugged. “I guess.”
“Of course you do. No one likes a tattle tale though.”
“Okay! But I was just gonna tell you that I saw Neil getting some money from the grocery jar.”
“What? NEIL!!!!!”
Look at my baby. They’re all growing up so quickly. She looks somewhat like Val. At least around the eyes. But she’s always been my calm baby, the one who would crawl into my lap and just lay there as we all watched TV. I’ll be sad to see those days gone but we have so much to look forward to with her still being so young. She came dancing out the room and then started to race around the house.
Apparently all my kids are ADD. They’re either running around or sleeping.
Case in point. She’s a freaking doll. She has her father’s hair. I wish I had hair like that but…whatever! What am I going to do except get some weave or something and put it in? And right now I don’t have time for that because of the promotion. I’m really swamped with paperwork and all the demands of the hospital staff. But this is what I wanted right?

I laughed hysterically through this whole piece! Thank you!
What a piece of work Val is! I think I’d lock myself in the bedroom at night!
