It was nearing the end of the school year and I was starting to look up colleges. Something that had the option for dance I think. I mean, maybe that would be a backup career or something since I didn’t think I was THAT good. But I think it would be fun to just have that course option ya know? I was really getting into it when when I heard barking from outside. Loud barking.

“Shut up Donna!” I yelled. As usual she ignored me and kept barking. Shoving back from the desk I stormed out of the room and yanking the house door open stormed outside. What I saw froze me in my tracks.

Gordon, Neil’s dad, was trying to get past Donna on the sidewalk but she kept shadowing his steps. He looked up at me and he looked so much like Neil that I had to smile.

“Come here Donna!” I guess she knew I was serious because she stopped barking and came over to me. Ushering her into the house I quickly shut the door behind her. I heard her give a startled bark as I walked down the sidewalk.

“Hello Mr. Wolosenko. I’m Alice. How are you?”

“Alice? How do you know my name?”

“Oh!” Well duh! Of course he didn’t know me. I had come around after he had already left. “I was adopted.”

“I see. Umm…” He darted a look at the house and shuffled his feet. “Is anyone home?”

“Yeah. Mom and dad are inside. Did you…did you want to go inside?”

I watched as he rubbed at the back of his neck before shaking his head. “No. Uh…it was nice meeting you. If you talk to Neil tell him…tell him I said hello.”

“Will do.”

I watched him race down the sidewalk. I really had to do something about that. Okay, I admit it. I try to fix things…people. Whatever. But Neil still keeps those pics of his dad up so he must want some sort of relationship with him right? Right!

Oh yeah. I got a job. Imagine my surprise when I got a promotion the same day I started. Weird how that worked out really. And you see Donna barking at the car? I tell you I can not wait for her to have those puppies. Maybe then she won’t be so mean. I hope. I absently noticed a car in the driveway behind mine but really didn’t pay it any attention. Sometimes dad’s friends came over for visits. Since mom was a super secret spy she didn’t talk about her job or her co-workers. Imagine my surprise when the door the house opened and dad and a man stepped out.

“I hope you keep your head on straight Dane. I know I screwed up but what can I say? I’m a lady’s man. I didn’t deserve Tonya. But you seem to make her really happy.”

“She makes me happy. I’m happy that you screwed up. I might never have met her otherwise.”

“Hell man! From what I’ve heard you were going to make sure you got her.”

Dad grimaced. “Yeah, I’m not proud of that fact.”

“Yeah, you’re different from me. If it ain’t easy I don’t want it. Anyways, tell Tonya thanks again. I can’t believe she called me man.”

“Yeah, she’s been talking about wanting to make things right with people.”

“Alright. I’ll talk to you guys later.”

“Take care Joe.”

I came from around the corner of the house when I heard the door close. Who was Joe? And why did mom want to make things right? What exactly had gone before I came? I am SO going to have to go back and look at the pictures…if mom hadn’t stashed them away that is.

Washing the dogs always help me think and Donna was funky so I dumped her in the tub. It was weird. It had been a year since Gai and Neil had moved away to college and there was so much that I still didn’t know. About the family and about myself.  I guess that’s what’s growing up is all about. Getting to know yourself…and the people that you love. Whatever. I’m getting all sentimental and crap. Until next time. Now, get the camera out of my face!

BTW, photographer lady is going to flip when she sees what I did to her photo. She had it all pretty and everything and I just made it more…me! Ha!

Writer’s Notes: I know! I know! It’s been FOREVER since we’ve seen Alice, Tonya and Dane right? Geez! I am so behind on updating them. Sorry for the lack of funny. Nothing really exciting happened in this post(sorry!!!). Alice likes to study and work out on the barre! LOL!!

Alice makes the best faces. And she’s freaking gorgeous. I don’t know how that happened but when I usually adopt I get cute kids.

First try with the dogs and I got the little baby bells!! PUPPIES!! And I didn’t know that the dogs did the whole knock the puppy off their feet and lick the belly! I thought that was super cute!

Karaoke song is by Cyndi Lauper. I ♥ that song!

And why was Monica blowing hearts over Dane? Seriously? I’ll have to keep an eye out for any funny business with those two!

Dane is such a kid himself. Him and Alice are always playing…when he and Tonya aren’t in bed that is. *shakes head*

Next update will be with Alice again. I want to keep them at the same age…well sort of. I still don’t know how this is going to work with Val but she will be making a come back! Trust and believe!

Those guys at the community lot were all over Alice. Seriously. And she met one of the Sims I created but I cut it from the update! I love seeing those Sims just walking by!
