The Sims 2 and The Sims 3
Genetic Experiment Part II

Make over time. Just gave him a new hair ‘do and a lip ring. Nothing else.

Teen Sunny!!

Make over. Different hair and just a smidge of eyeliner and a taupe lipstick. Nothing fancy.

She’s actually wiping sweat but I thought she looked pretty.
Cue Freddy picspam:

OK!!!!
Love this!!!!
all of them but Kenny and Freddy have Mom’s nose. They all also appear to have Mom’s jawline, except Poppy, who shouldn’t have anything from Mom. and she is ADORABLE!! Kenny has very slanted eyes which surprises me. Where’d he get those? The skin tones are sort of all over the place. I think Sunny has Mom’s mouth.
This is a fantastic experiment! And how many generations IS it going to take to breed out those eyes? Three at least I’m guessing.
I love the random shots, so much personality, just completely a joy to see this happening!

Haha! I’m having fun doing it! Glad you’re having fun right along with me since you inspired this!
I agree! Although Sunny’s jaw pokes out a little further. I’ll have to post up some more profile angles. Poppy is adorable! I was SO surprised! I was expecting anything but how she turned out! And I have NO idea where Kenny got his slanted eyes. At first I thought it was because he was smiling but nope. *shakes head* But they fit him! And yeah, you have uber light Kenny and then Del being the darkest but I can see all the different shades. Sunny has Del’s mouth and Sean’s nose. It fits her face though.
I don’t know! They seem pretty strong. Maybe if I have someone with a dominant eye trait come into the family. I think blue is considered recessive. And I wonder how recessive that skin is as well? How weird would that be to just pop up out of nowhere?
I love taking these shots. No set up required just going with the flow and catching all these weird expressions. Thanks Beth!

Wow those are cute kids! Since you’ve played Sims 2 and 3 extensively which do you enjoy for just playing? By playing I mean experiments like these. Playing with genetics and making families. That kind of thing.

Ha! I was pleasantly surprised myself!
For just playing I’d have to say TS3 because I don’t feel the need to make stories for those characters. I’m really not attached to them. To me half the fun of TS3 is making the Sims and new houses. It takes me hours and by the time I’m done I just close down the laptop! LOL!
Experiments are better in TS2 I think. I really haven’t had a crap load of kids in TS3! OH! That reminds me! I need to show off that family I created…and all their kids!

you know…i really love these posts of yours because they make me realize what is possible when you just “play the game”. I still can’t get anyone to brush their teeth…I must have really unhygienic sims…
I will be anxious to see how long it takes to breed out those eyes.

Thanks Gayl!
I’m always finding out new things when I just ‘play the game’ as well! That’s part of the fun! Are you using the right mirror? It’s the cabinet that came with AL. It’s in deco/misc near the end. My people ALWAYS want to brush their teeth. It’s annoying when their late for work!
You as well as me!
